Big comeback for charity

The soul icone of the eighties is back again!

With "Teach me again" a duet with the Italian producer, singer and songwriter Elisa Toffoli the legendary Tina Turner (born: 1939) sings the soundtrack of the new UNICEF film "All the invisible children." The song fights child malnutrition in Africa. Proceeds of the film will go to the All the invisible children Fund. The project has been supported by the UN agencies UNIICEF and the World Food Programme.

In 1984 Tina Turner released her solo album "Private Dancer." It was one of the biggest comebacks in the Rock 'n roll history. Anna Mae Bullock (that's her offical name) just divorced her abusive husband and manager Ike Turner. She retained the use of the stage name Tina Ike had given her.

Tina Turner was born on November 26, 1939 in Nutbush (now Brownsville), Tennessee. Although born to a poor family she became one of the biggest Super Stars. Until now she had been sold more than 170 million records worldwide. In the period 1984 - 2000 she gave 230 concerts in 25 countries. Tina has sold more tickets in music history ever.

At the moment Tina and her boyfriend record executive Erwin Bach live together in Zürich, Switserland. She also possesses a house in France.
